HO CHI MINH CITY NOMINATED FOR WORLD MICE AWARDS 2025: AFFIRMING ITS POSITION AS A LEADING MICE DESTINATION IN THE REGION
The year 2025 marks the sixth consecutive nomination for Ho Chi Minh City in the Asia’s Best MICE Destination category. The city is currently leading with five consecutive wins in this category, highlighting its consistent performance, strong commitment to development, and increasingly professional capacity in organizing MICE events—an industry segment that demands high standards, international connectivity, and integrated services.
With over 13,000 accommodation rooms, including 134 hotels rated from 1 to 5 stars and 3,200 internationally recognized lodging establishments, Ho Chi Minh City possesses a robust tourism and event infrastructure, well-equipped to host large-scale conferences, seminars, and incentive programs. In 2024, the city effectively developed 366 tourism resources and introduced 80 new tourism programs and products, reflecting vigorous investment and innovation in its services. Hosting large MICE delegations, along with the expansion potential from the Ho Chi Minh City metropolitan area into Binh Duong and Ba Ria – Vung Tau, presents new prospects for the region, further enhancing the city’s competitiveness and appeal as a top-tier MICE hub in Asia.
Notably, ITE HCMC – Vietnam’s largest annual international tourism event – has once again been nominated for Asia’s Best MICE Trade Show after winning the award in 2024. Maintaining a spot among the nominees reaffirms the event’s organizational excellence and professional reputation. It also reflects the growing influence of ITE HCMC as a tourism business platform, fostering regional cooperation and elevating Vietnam’s global tourism profile.
