The 12th TPO General Assembly – Detailed Schedule of Activities (Held concurrently with the International Travel Expo – ITE HCMC 2025)
As the host city, Ho Chi Minh City is honored to present the detailed schedule of the 12th General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Asia Pacific Cities (TPO), taking place from September 2nd to 6th, 2025.
The program features a diverse and insightful agenda designed to maximize connectivity and cooperation among member cities.
September 1st–2nd, 2025 – Arrival & Welcome
Delegate Reception: Delegates from TPO member cities will be warmly welcomed upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat International Airport.
September 3rd, 2025 – Grand Opening
- 13:00 – 14:30 – Executive Committee Meeting: Closed meeting session of the 45th TPO Executive Committee, held at the Saigon–Dalat Room, Sheraton Hotel, to prepare for the official sessions.
- 15:00 – 16:00 – Opening Ceremony of the General Assembly: The official opening ceremony at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel.
- 16:00 – 17:20 – General Assembly Session I: Discussion on the theme “Innovation for the Future of Tourism – Sustainable Cities”, setting the stage for subsequent sessions.
- 18:00 – 21:00 – Vietnam Night: A special cultural event at Thiskyhall Sala, where delegates can experience traditional Vietnamese cuisine, music and art.
Day 3: September 4th, 2025 – High-level Forum & Cultural Exchange
- 13:30 – 15:00 – High-level Tourism Forum: Leading experts will discuss “Shaping the Future of Tourism: Towards Digital Transformation and Green Transformation”. This is a key session of the 12th TPO General Assembly, held at the Conference Hall, SECC.
- 13:30 – 15:00 – Joint Promotion: TPO Tourism Roadshow, Member cities will showcase their outstanding tourism products at the Main Stage, SECC.
- 15:00 – 16:30 – Leadership Conference: A forum for senior leaders of TPO cities at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel, fostering the development of strategic partnerships.
- 18:00 – Cultural Exchange Evening: An intimate cultural gathering at Van Thanh Tourist Village, immersing delegates in Vietnam’s authentic traditions.
September 5th–6th, 2025 – In-depth Discussions & Site Inspections
- 10:00 – 12:00 – General Assembly Session III: In-depth discussions on “Integrating Digital Transformation and Green Transformation: The Future of Sustainable Tourism”, at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel.
- 14:00 – 16:50 – Plenary & Bilateral Meetings: The final plenary session of the General Assembly at the Grand Ballroom, Sheraton Hotel, alongside concurrent bilateral meetings.
- 18:00 – Appreciation Dinner: A closing gala at the Nightspot & Wine Bar, Sheraton Hotel, celebrating the collaborative achievements of TPO members.
- 09:00 – 15:00 – Destination familiarization trip: A destination familiarization program for TPO delegates in Ho Chi Minh City, offering firsthand insights into the city’s tourism potential and products.
