Outstanding Results of the ITE HCMC 2025 & TPO 2025 Event Series

Organizational Scale and International Stature

ITE HCMC 2025, with the theme “Sustainable Travel, Vibrant Experiences,” has affirmed its position as Vietnam’s and the lower Mekong region’s leading reputable international tourism event. The event recorded impressive figures:

  • Over 550 premium international visitors from 41 countries and territories.
  • 41 high-level delegations, including Ministers, Mayors, and international city leaders, along with 15 diplomatic agencies in Ho Chi Minh City. (an increase of 412.5% compared to 2024);
  • 256 international buyers from 32 countries and territories (an increase of 16.5% compared to 2024);
  • Over 30 leading global travel groups participated, notably from: Oceania; Europe; America; and Asia…
  • Over 500 exhibiting units and brands (an increase of 4% compared to 2024) across 402 booths. (an increase of 25% compared to 2024);
  • All 34 provinces and cities of Vietnam participated, with 28 localities having display booths;
  • 46,100 visitors, including 35,550 trade visitors and 10,555 public visitors. (an increase of 77.3% compared to 2024);
  • 20,050 trade appointments between international buyers and exhibitors, with nearly 50% of appointments successfully signed. (an increase of 75% compared to 2024);
  • Communication efforts achieved great effectiveness: over 3,900 news articles, posts, and images in domestic and international press (an increase of 44.4% compared to 2024); on digital platforms, over 400 articles and video clips attracted over 3.1 million reaches. (an increase of 158.3% compared to 2024).

Professional Activities Creating Strong Impacts

09 specialized forums, conferences, and workshops took place with over 2,500 delegates attending, featuring 09 international speakers and 33 domestic speakers and experts. Notably, the High-level Tourism Forum “Shaping the Future of Tourism: Towards Digital Transformation and Green Transformation” attracted over 300 delegates, focusing on solutions for digital transformation, green transformation, enhancing competitiveness, and expanding international cooperation.

Famtrip and Presstrip programs for international buyers and press directly promoted Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism products, creating a strong ripple effect.

The public access program from September 04 to 06, 2025, was vibrant, attracting tens of thousands of visitors, with many booths reporting “sold out tours” on the spot.

Widespread Significance and International Achievements

Ho Chi Minh City’s tourism industry proudly received the TPO Best Awards 2025 for Tourism Marketing with its communication campaign “Find the Right Quality, Touch the Right Emotion,” affirming its creative and effective promotional capabilities.

The “International Economic – Tourism Week” model was organized for the first time, connecting ITE HCMC with 03 other major international events (TPO General Assembly 2025; Vietnam International Sourcing 2025; Ho Chi Minh City Export Forum 2025), creating a multi-sectoral cooperation space among tourism, trade, logistics, and export. This created a strong impetus to attract international visitors through a series of trade contracts, communication campaigns, and the presence of large travel groups; it also expanded the development space for MICE tourism, business tourism, and tourism linked to international supply chains.

For the first time, Vietnam hosted the General Assembly of the Tourism Promotion Organization for Global Cities. The event, held in Ho Chi Minh City, coincided with major holidays, enhancing the city’s political standing and image on the international stage.

The success of this series of events not only affirmed Ho Chi Minh City’s international standing but also represented a “one arrow – many targets” strategy, not only boosting tourism but also creating momentum for economic, trade, and innovation development.
