On June 6, 2025, the Michelin Guide continued to spotlight Vietnam’s vibrant food scene by featuring 181 restaurants and eateries across Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Da Nang in its prestigious 2025 edition. Among them, Ho Chi Minh City proudly boasts 75 recognized establishments, including 5 Michelin One-Star restaurants, 49 Michelin Selected venues, and 21 Bib Gourmand picks.
The five One-Star restaurants — Ănăn Saigon, Akuna Restaurant, The Royal Pavilion, CieL (a new entry), and Coco Dining (upgraded from Michelin Selected) — were celebrated for their outstanding and innovative cuisine. Each was evaluated by Michelin’s anonymous inspectors based on five globally consistent criteria: ingredient quality, culinary mastery, harmony of flavors, the personality of the chef expressed through the cuisine, and consistency over time.
