CULTURE, SPORTS, AND TOURISM IN 2025 AND THE 2021-2025 TERM: REFLECTING TO MOVE FURTHER FORWARD

2025 has concluded with resounding echoes and profound emotions. As the final year of a five-year term—a period that may seem brief compared to the 80-year journey of the sector’s development—it has been more than enough for every official in culture, information, sports, and tourism to look back with immense love, faith, and pride. This was a stage where the Ministry and the entire sector, alongside the nation, achieved significant breakthroughs and left deep imprints, ranging from innovative strategic thinking to concrete achievements in state management.

On December 27, 2025, at the Government Headquarters, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism organized a National Conference to review the work of 2025 and the 2021-2025 term, while deploying key tasks for 2026 under the theme: “Culture as the Foundation – Information as the Conduit – Sports as the Strength – Tourism as the Bridge – Firmly Stepping into the New Era.”

The conference devoted extensive time to a comprehensive and objective assessment of the achievements recorded throughout 2025 and the entire 2021-2025 term. It also provided a substantive evaluation of existing bottlenecks and challenges, thereby establishing a system of viewpoints, goals, targets, and development solutions for the sector in a new period: The Era of the Nation’s Rise.

It can be said that Vietnamese Tourism has truly risen to new heights, affirming its role as a driving force for economic growth and a catalyst for development across various other sectors. On the global tourism map, the “Vietnam Tourism” brand has been elevated through a series of prestigious awards, such as: World’s Leading Heritage Destination, World’s Best Golf Destination, and Asia’s Leading Destination… demonstrating Vietnam’s ever-growing appeal in the eyes of international friends.
